Our story

Norwest Connect brings together three operations that keep Australia's remote north moving: Mungalalu North Kimberley Airport (the largest all-weather airport in the far north Kimberley), Norwest Marine Operations, and Troughton Island.

The airport operates on the country of the Wunambal Gaambera people, serving regional communities and the offshore industry since 1987. Together with marine freight, logistics and charter services across northern Australia, Arnhem Land and the Tiwi Islands, and Troughton Island's CASA certified island aerodrome, we cover the region by air, by sea and on the ground.

Our clients include oil and gas operators, airlines, helicopter services, defence and border agencies, and mining companies: organisations that depend on real local knowledge and operational commitment in one of the most remote corners of Australia.

Mungalalu North Kimberley Airport

Mungalalu North Kimberley Airport is the owner and aerodrome operator of the largest all-weather airport in the far north Kimberley, occupying 21 square kilometres of native-title land under lease with the Wunambal Gaambera Aboriginal Corporation.

Norwest Marine Operations

Norwest Marine Operations Pty Ltd is a marine freight, logistics and charter services provider based in Darwin. We carry general and refrigerated cargo, heavy plant, construction materials, dangerous goods and bulk fuels in support of northern Australia's remote communities and its critical infrastructure across resources, defence and energy.
